Clark Atlanta University Convocation (extra credit)

14 Oct

Clark Atlanta University held its 2011 convocation on September 29, 2011.  All if the faculty, staff members and students gathered in the Leonidas S. Epps Gymnasium. The program was mostly devoted to the core values of the school. Mr. Milton J. Little Jr. spoke to the study body about staying encouraged about school and to never lose sight of your focus even in the rough times. He told short anecdotes of when he was once a student at Clark Atlanta University. I really loved his message and admired his accomplishments and how he made it through his obstacles as a student. Students who were a part of the athletic department were recognized for their hard work and dedication to Clark Atlanta University. The students who were a part of the Students Government Association were also recognized for their leadership and scholastic talents displayed throughout the campus. Two selections were given by the school’s worship and praise choir. I loved the song choices and the arrangements of each song.  The songs were motivating and helped to bring out spiritual emotions through its lyrics. Any student or staff member who missed opening convocation truly missed out on something special.
